Session description:
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, digital contents for education such as 360-degree photo, video and virtual reality (VR) have been developed rapidly. These contents may not substitute the real experience in the field. However, they open new way of understanding land system science. For example, we can provide opportunities to compare different land systems which are geographically apart. Sharing these contents will lighten the burden of university staffs to originally develop these contents. In this session, presenters will share their development and educational usage of digital contents. We will discuss possibilities and issues of these digital education against real field education. Furthermore, storing and sharing digital data by repositories and usage for research will be discussed.
